ABOUT HARSAC - Haryana Space Applications CentreHaryana Space Applications Centre, Hisar (HARSAC), a collaborator of ISRO, is a nodal agency for Remote Sensing and GIS applications of the Government of Haryana. It is located next to Centre for Plant Biotechnology (PCB) within the CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar in the Haryana state of India. Haryana Space Applications Centre (HARSAC), a Nodal Agency of the Citizen Resources Information Department, Government of Haryana for Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographic Information System (GIS) applications, has been established in the year 1986 and became operational in the year 1989. HARSAC provides specialized services and solutions for implementing geospatial/GIS systems. These include technical consulting, GIS database design & development, map creation/ updation & finishing, data migration/ conversion & format translation, software development & customisation and systems integration. HARSAC also provides complete GIS solutions that bundle hardware and software with GIS systems development services for clients in India. It has also strengthened the range of high-end services in large-scale mapping by using photogrammetry (converting photographs into digital maps) and laser technologies. |
