ABOUT Ambala District CourtJurisdiction of Ambala Ambala Sessions Division is headed by District & Sessions Judge, Ambala. Presently, Sessions Division has working strength of one District & Sessions Judge, three Additional District & Sessions Judges, one District Judge-cum- Principal Judge (Family Court), one Additional District Judge-cum- Additional Principal Judge (Family Court), one Additional District & Sessions Judge, dealing with heinous crime cases against women (exclusive court), one Additional District & Sessions Judge Fast Track Special Court under POCSO Act, one Court of Civil Judge (Senior Division), one Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ambala, one Court of Addl. Civil Judge (Sr. Div.)-cum JMIC-cum- Principal Magistrate Juvenile Justice Board, one Court of Special Railway Magistrate, Ambala Cantt, one Court of Civil Judge (Jr. Division) and one Court of Addl. Civil Judge (Sr. Division) dealings with the cases u/s 138 of NI Act. and four Courts of Civil Judges exercise the powers of Judicial Magistrate Ist Class and Rent Controller. One Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority. Besides, there also exist one Court of Permanent Lok Adalat for public utility service, one Labour Court at Ambala is presided over by District & Sessions Judge. Naraingarh Sub-Division has a working strength of one Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate and one Court of Civil Judge (Junior Division). |
