Consultant (Antarctic Operations) - 01 Post
Qualification & Experience for NCPOR Vacancies 2023:
i. Master’s Degree in Geology/ Earth Sciences or equivalent from a recognized University / Institution.
ii. Minimum 25 years of research experience in scientific and operational activities like coordination and execution of Antarctic expeditions.
Job Requirement
1. To give advice in Planning, Logistics related to scientific activities, co-ordination and execution of
Indian Antarctic expedition.
2. To give advice in maintaining/managing the Indian stations in Antarctica and all activities related to
construction of new station in Antarctica
3. To give advice in planning the expedition launching activities, transhipment of expedition cargo, coordination with various agencies for chartering of ship and helicopters etc.
4. To advice in planning for international consultative meetings related to Antarctica.
5. To train and mentor the young and budding scientists in research and logistic/infrastructure set
up at Antarctic station.
Salary:
Fixed monthly amount shall be admissible, arrived at by deducting the basic pension from the pay drawn at the time of retirement, as specified in Department of Expenditure's O.M. No. 3-25/2020-E.IIIA dated 09.12.2020.
Age Limit:
Maximum 65 years (Age relaxation as per rules).
